青岛海天大酒店是一个位于海滨的五星级酒店，主体建筑是两栋二十余层的高楼，体量较大，位于基址中心。南部环境是一个东西长150m，南北宽20-43m，面积约1.5hm2的长条形的地段，还要容纳消防通道、网球场和露天烧烤区，基址相当局促。

Qingdao Haitian Hotel is a five-star hotel located on the seaside, the main architecture is made by two buildings of more than 20 stories of high-rise, a larger volume, located in the center of the base site. The southern environment is a long strip of land with a length of 150 m east and west, a width of 20-43m north and south, and an area of about 1.5 hm2. It also houses fire passages, tennis courts and open-air barbecue areas. The base site is rather cramped.

酒店的环境是客人对酒店的第一印象，它应该是吸引人的、高雅的景观。所以在设计中考虑的主要是从酒店的入口、大堂、餐厅和客房中或是从酒店外路过的车辆中欣赏花园，视觉的效果是最为重要的。

Hotel environment is the first impression of the guests, it should be an attractive, elegant landscape. Therefore, the main consideration in the design is to view the garden from the entrance, lobby, restaurant and guestroom of the hotel, or from vehicles passing outside, The visual effect is the most important.

方案以一系列三角形的地面隆起塑造了整体而又剧烈变化的地形，构成景观的基调。每个地形大小不一，互不平行，形成深远的层次和强烈的地表变化。两条钢床小溪源自不锈钢的涌泉池，静静地穿越在地面隆起之间的谷地中。十几丛大小和形状一致的椭圆型的竹丛自由地布置在谷地之中，神秘的雾霭带来了丰富的层次和神秘莫测的色彩。地形的隆起与大海中远处的小岛和礁石在视线上产生某种联系，竹丛中的雾霭与大海中的海雾又浑然一体，产生神秘的景象。

The uplift of the topography has some connection with the distant islands and rocks in the sea, and the mist among the bamboo is integrated with sea fog, creating a mysterious scene.
