北京十二中生态文化园位于北京市丰台区庄怡公园北侧，将作为十二中学生户外科普学习的基地、也将成为周边居民休闲活动和科普教育的场所。

The Ecological Garden of Beijing No.12 Middle School is located on the north side of Zhuangyi Park in Fengtai District of Beijing. It will be used as the base of outdoor science popularization for students in the School, and will also become a place for leisure activities and popular science education of the surrounding residents.

生态文化园通过步行桥与十二中校园相连，为学生们提供了安全的交通联系。南侧设计了访客中心建筑，作为生态科普教学的基地。访客中心西侧是小型温室，南侧是百草园，为学生提供种植、养护、观察植物的园圃。自然探索路径、学生创意园也是学生观察自然，锻炼动手能力绝佳场所。阳光草坪、户外观演剧场提供了集体活动和户外课堂的空间。中心池塘和雨水花园是观赏、进行湿地探索和普及湿地知识的场所。文化探索路径将课堂知识与景观小品结合起来，寓教于景。

The Ecological Garden is connected to the School campus through a walking bridge, providing students with safe transportation links. There will be a visitor center constructed on the south side of the park, as the ecological science popularization teaching base. On the west side of the visitor center is a small greenhouse, and there is a “hundred grass garden”on the south of the greenhouse, which provides students a garden for planting, curing and observing plants. Natural exploration path, student creative garden, is also a perfect place for students to observe nature and exercise their hands-on ability. Sun Lawn, Outdoor Theatre provides space for group activities and outdoor classes. The central pond and Rain Water garden are places to watch, explore and popularize knowledge of wetland. Cultural exploration path will combine classroom knowledge with landscape sketch, and education in the scene of nature.

北京十二中生态文化园试图创造一个融自然环境和科普功能于一体的、具有示范作用的中学户外教育基地，为实施全面素质教育、培养创新人才探索具有启发性和教育功能的户外环境设计。

The Ecological Garden of Beijing No.12 Middle School tries to create a middle school outdoor education base which integrates the natural environment and function of popularizing science, with demonstration functions. It is designed for carrying out comprehensive quality education and cultivating innovative talents to explore the outdoor environment with enlightening and educational functions.
