日照是位于山东省的一个美丽的滨海城市，2010年，多义景观接受委托，将位于城市中的一片苗圃改造成植物园。苗圃已有一定的植物基础，但植物类型单一。

Rizhao is a beautiful coastal city in Shandong province. In 2010, Atelier DYJG was commissioned to turn a nursery in the city into a botanical garden. There was a certain plant foundation in the nursery, but the diversity of vegetation was too low.

设计充分利用现有的条件，保留了场地上几乎所有的植物和道路，拓展了水面和湿地，调整了地形和空间结构，创造了多样的植物生长环境，构筑了完整的游览系统，完善了植物园与城市的关系，使得日照植物园成为一个集游览、休闲、科普和科研等多功能为一体的，特色鲜明，景色优美的植物园。植物园将收集2000种植物，其中陆地栽培植物约500种，温室中收集植物约1500种。

The design makes full use of the existing conditions, reserves almost all the plants and roads on the site, expands the water surface and wetlands, adjusts the topography and spatial structure, creates a diversified plant growth environment, builds a complete sightseeing system, improves the relationship between the botanical garden and the city, and makes the Rizhao Botanical Garden into a multi-functional, distinctive and picturesque garden. The Botanical Garden will collect 2,000 species of plants, of which about 500 are cultivated on land and about 1,500 are collected in greenhouses.
