遂平县位于河南省南部。本项目位于遂平县城区段，规划面积（含河道）565公顷，全长15公里，河宽从30-110米，两岸绿带宽度40-250米不等。

The project is located in the Suiping County, which is located in the south of Henan Province, with a planned area of 565 hectares (the river included) and a total length of 15 kilometers. The width of the river ranges from 30 to 110 meters and the width of the green belt on both sides ranges from 40 to 250 meters.

汝河是遂平的母亲河，河道具有将周边零散的绿地联系起来的潜力，在城市绿色网络中起到骨架作用。但出于防洪考虑，汝河河道两边均筑有高于城市道路3米左右的堤顶路，筑高的堤顶路削弱了城市与河流的联系，滨河绿地的可达性和可视性较差。而堤顶路对人的观景视线造成了阻碍，站在城市道路的人无法看到河道景观，河岸边道路系统不够完善，不能满足人们的亲水需求。

Ruhe River is the mother river of Suiping, which has the potential to play a skeleton role in the green network of the city to connect the scattered green land surrounding it. However, after fully consideration of flood control, both sides of the Ruhe River are built with embankments,which are about 3 meters higher than the urban roads. The embankment weakened the connection between the city and the river, and the accessibility and visibility of riverside green space has decreased. However, the road on the top of the embankment obstructs people's view that they cannot see the river landscape when standing on the urban road. And the road system along the river bank is Inadequate to satisfy the water-linking needs of people.

规划基于遂平汝河现有的自然、城市、郊野的风貌特征，提出“自然的汝河，市民的汝河”的设计定位，形成“一廊、六岸、六中心、二十个主题空间”的总体规划结构。将遂平汝河河道塑造成能够体现区域的山水文化，传承联通古今文脉，充满活力和生活品质的滨水活力空间。

Based on the existing natural, urban and rural features of the Ruhe River in Suping, the design orientation of the "Natural and Civil Ruhe River" has been put forward, forming the overall planning structure of "one corridor, six banks, six centers and twenty theme Spaces". The river course of Suiping Ru River will be shaped into waterfront space full of vitality and quality of life that can reflect the regional landscape culture, inherit and connect the ancient and modern context.

针对汝河现状的堤顶路高差及绿地缺乏功能等问题，设计提出“地形梳理、城市融合、生态水岸、文脉延续、滨水活力、设施置入”六大策略，打通堵塞的滨河岸线，通过营造近自然化的滨河绿地为市民提供与汝河近距离相望相临相依的场所，体验滨水生活的慢行系统，连接自然的河道生态走廊，传承水乡记忆的文化载体，渗透城市区域的绿地网络。

Considering the elevation of the top road on the embankment and the lack of function of the green land, the planning puts forward six strategies of "Terrain arrangement, Urban integration, Ecological water bank, Waterfront vitality and Facilities embedding", to break down the congestion of the riverside. And by creating natural-friendly riverside green spaces, a place for citizens to get close to Ruhe River, a slow transportation system to experience waterfront living style, a natural river ecological corridor linking with nature, a cultural carrier of the memory water towns and a green network that penetrating city area has been provided.

设计后的遂平段汝河河道将成为一个自然宜人、乡韵悠扬的滨水生态休闲走廊，一个串联起市民的休闲生活、城市的乡土记忆和区域的产业复兴的水脉，一张展示城市风貌、倡导绿色生活的遂平形象名片。

The designed Ruhe River in the Suiping county will become a natural and pleasant waterfront ecological leisure corridor with pleasant local charm, a water channel connecting the leisure life of citizens, local memory of the city and the industrial revival of the region, and a Suiping image card showing the city's features and advocating green life style.
